Dr. Joe Mazzeo was raised in Cliffwood, NJ and developed an interest in the health care field at a young age. At age 13, Dr. Mazzeo experienced low back pain and was taken to the family chiropractor by his father. After witnessing the success of chiropractic in his own life, Dr. Mazzeo concentrated his efforts on becoming a chiropractor.
Dr. Mazzeo graduated salutatorian from Bloomfield College in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He then graduated from New York Chiropractic College, with honors, in 2002, where he won the Frank DiGiacomo Technique Award. This award is given to the graduating doctor who shows the greatest proficiency in chiropractic technique.
Following his time spent in New York, Dr. Mazzeo moved back to New Jersey to begin practice immediately. Dr. Mazzeo has been involved in many aspects of chiropractic practice including family practice, pediatrics, geriatrics, sports injury, and personal injury. Dr. Mazzeo has also worked with treating several professional mixed martial artists who fight in the UFC as well as other local professional organizations. Dr. Mazzeo currently is the co-owner of two chiropractic offices located in Belleville, NJ and Union, NJ. He is also currently looking into beginning an Electrodiagnostics Certification Program.
Dr. Mazzeo believes in viewing the patient as a whole and not just concentrating on their symptoms. He believes that there is a cause to every problem and that treating that cause will be to the patient’s ultimate benefit. In his office, the doctorpatient relationship is coveted, making the office a truly friendly and welcoming environment.
Outside the office, Dr. Mazzeo is equally busy. He is a recent newlywed and is looking forward to starting a family. Dr. Mazzeo is also an avid pool player and continues to compete in local and national amateur tournaments.
